LANE COOPER AWARD

Open to M.A. or Ph.D. students with little or no financial support for the academic year. The award is for an aspiring college or university professor in the humanities who is of “superior character, attainments and promise.” The awardee must be in the following subject areas: “the study of: (a) Greek; (b) Latin; (c) English language and literature and (d) Philosophy and History, including both ancient and medieval.”

DOCTORAL STUDENT RESEARCH GRANT (DSRG)

Graduate Center doctoral students in years 2 through 6 are eligible for individual awards of up to $1,500, which can be spent on expenses such as conference and research travel. Can receive every other year.
